Out and back course on a rolling bike path along Edward Hines Drive.

Water and green Gatorade will be available every 2-3 miles. GU (a Martian
favorite!) will be handed out at 13.1 miles.
March takes it’s name from the Latin, Mars. This Celestial Month is the
ideal time to run a marathon. On March 31st the gravitational pull on
earth is at its low point for the year. From Satellite computations we
have determined that GPS co-ordinates of 42.4/83.5 will be the location of
the planets lowest gravitational coefficient. This should allow for longer
strides with less effort. This location falls in the Northern Hemisphere
on the continent of North America, exactly where the marathon will be held!
$100,000,000 in U.S. dollars will be paid to the first green skinned
finisher under 4’ all (contestants with more than 8 legs or less than 4 do
not qualify for the prize money). All other finishers will receive a
finishers medal and a certificate of completion.
Martian Marathon Entry Fee: $25 includes a T-shirt, finisher's medal and
finisher's certificate. Food and fun await you at the finish. Late entry
(after March 10th $35)
20 Mile Training Run Entry Fee: $5 early, $7 day of run.
