Bank of America Chicago Marathon Offers Preparation Tips for Runners
CHICAGO - Bank of America Chicago Marathon Medical Director Dr. George
Chiampas today reminded runners about taking proper preparations for race
day:
"While we are anticipating warmer temperatures for Sunday's Marathon, we
are confident in our level of preparedness and the resources we have
available to support a positive race day experience for all runners,
volunteers and spectators," said Chiampas.
Dr. Chiampas also offered the following preparation tips to all
participants:
Hydrate. Drink the proper amount of fluids.
Study the race course. Be aware of water and Aid Station locations.
Pay attention to Event Alert System (EAS) updates and adjust accordingly.
Listen to your body. Modify your race day goals, as necessary.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon
In its 33rd year and as a member of the World Marathon Majors, the 2010
Bank of America Chicago Marathon will start and finish in Chicago's Grant
Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 10. In advance of the race,
a two-day Health & Fitness Expo will be held at McCormick Place October
