Duluth, Minn.: Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc. is proud to announce that
Laura Wright has been named director of event and program development for
the nonprofit organization.
Wright joined Grandma's Marathon in 1999 as the assistant promotions

In her new position, Wright will focus on the creation and implementation

Grandma's Marathon is the 13th largest marathon in the nation. What started
as a small road race consisting of 150 runners has grown to be a weekend
running festival featuring Grandma's Marathon, the Garry Bjorklund Half
Marathon and the William A. Irvin 5K, and attracting over 17,000 runners
from across the globe. The 31st annual Grandma's Marathon is June 16, 2007.
