Grandma's Marathon Adds Director of Race Management Services
(Duluth, Minn.) Grandma's Marathon has named Jeffrey Rosenthal, Jr., as
director of race management services, a newly-created position within the
organization.
Rosenthal is responsible for support services during all Grandma's Marathon
events, assisting with the planning and development of the organization's
races and programs. He will coordinate volunteer efforts, as well as
maintain and implement organizational safety strategies and protocols.
A native of Wyoming, Minn., Rosenthal received a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Political Science and International Studies from the University of
Minnesota Duluth. Rosenthal was previously employed by Grandma's
Restaurants Inc. He has also operated his own e-commerce business since
2001.
The addition of this position brings the total number of full-time
Grandma's Marathon employees to eight.

Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc. is a Duluth, Minn.-based non-profit
organization responsible for coordinating the annual running of Grandma's
Marathon and its supporting events, including the Garry Bjorklund Half
Marathon, William A. Irvin 5K, Whipper Snapper Races for Kids and Essentia
Health Fitness and Health Expo. The organization also administers the Young
Athletes Foundation (YAF), which assists with the promotion and development
of youth athletics in a five-county region in northeastern Minnesota and
northwestern Wisconsin. The YAF has contributed more than $500,000 to area
youth athletic programs with the help of annual fundraising efforts
including the Fitger's 5K and Park Point 5-Miler.
