Press Release - Los Angeles Marathon - 3/11/11

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Production Concepts to Bolster KTLA's Marathon Telecast

Coverage plan utilizes 18 cameras from downtown L.A. to Santa Monica

LOS ANGELES, March 11, 2011 – No two pairs of eyes see the world the same
way. In that way, the March 20 telecast of the 2011 Honda LA Marathon
presented by K-Swiss will be all new, seen through a fresh set of eyes that
have worked on some of the world's greatest races.

New York-based IMG Media, producers of major marathons in Chicago,
Berlin, New York and elsewhere, is developing a new approach to the Los
Angeles race, which will air exclusively on the city's first television
station, KTLA 5, and online on KTLA.com, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pacific
time.

"Everything about this Honda LA Marathon is unique: the Stadium to the Sea
course and especially the Challenge," said Executive Producer Steve Mayer.
"We want to bring some of the texture of the race, of the people who make
it special, to the viewers on Sunday morning, March 20.

"Our broadcast program will highlight not only the elite racers, but the
many compelling stories among the thousands of participating runners,
walkers and wheelchair racers, and we have an excellent team to bring those
stories to our viewers."

A total of 18 cameras will provide pictures of the race from every angle,
including cameras fixed on the men's and women's leaders, in the main pack
of runners, on the course, and overhead from the KTLA 5 helicopter.

As in 2010, KTLA 5 sports anchor Derrin Horton will offer mile-by-mile
coverage of the race with veteran running analyst Toni Reavis, who has
provided commentary for all 25 prior Los Angeles Marathons. At street level
will be KTLA 5 morning news anchor Jessica Holmes and the newest member of
the KTLA 5 news team, morning anchor Chris Schauble, who will not only
report from the course, but actually run the marathon himself.

"This is our second year bringing one of L.A.'s most prestigious events to
the viewers of Southern California," added Don Corsini, President and
General Manager of KTLA 5, "Our reporters will line the course, and bring
home the local color that always shines along this historic route."

On the course itself, specially-outfitted Honda Ridgeline trucks will be
dedicated to the men's and women's lead packs, using Cineflex
Gyro-Stabilized, High-Definition cameras for enhanced picture quality. U.S.
Olympic marathoner Ed Eyestone (1988 and 1992) will provide commentary on
the men's elite field, with 1996 U.S. Olympic 1,500-meter runner Juli
Henner following the women.

The broadcast will be produced in high-definition, with an all-new format
and easy-to-understand graphics. Bruce Treut, a veteran of dozens of
marathon broadcasts, will direct.

"We are excited to once again team with KTLA 5 to provide extensive
race-day coverage of the 2011 Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss," said
LA MARATHON LLC partnerships director Dave Klewan. "Along with our new
production partner IMG, we look forward to focusing on the many great
individual runner and community stories that come from such an amazing
experience."
