Today Show on NBC's Joy Bauer to host Memorial Day Marathon
Pre-Race Pasta Dinner at The Historic Red Lion Inn
Immediately after learning that long time Today Show contributor Joy Bauer
had run the Inaugural Memorial Day Half Marathon, event organizer Matt
Linick was on the phone. "I wanted to gauge her interest in helping us
promote the event, and was thrilled to learn that she was excited to join
our team!" Joy, a longtime supporter of The Berkshires is teaming up with
Red Lion Executive Chef Brian Alberg of The Red Lion Inn to host the
pre-race pasta dinner. The two collaborated on a menu which will feature
local ingredients, including pasta made in house using locally milled
grains and Joy will also be choosing one of her special high energy
smoothies. Joy has also written "Joy's Top Nutrition Tips for Marathon
Runners" which can be found on www.joybauer.com to help runners prepare for
the event weekend.
