Medtronic TC 1 Mile More than half full
5th Annual Race Down Nicollet Mall to Include Inaugural
National Championship Event
(Minneapolis, MN) – Running continues to be a priority amid the current
economy if registration for the Medtronic TC 1 Mile is any proof. The 5th
annual race along the Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis is more than
half-full, in less than two weeks. With a 3,200 participant cap,
registration for the May 7 event continues to be strong.
"The Medtronic TC 1 Mile has become one of the premier kick-off events that
launches the outdoor running season in Minnesota," said Twin Cities
Marathon, Inc. Race Director Brian Mastel. "It's not only a fun, and
stunning course along the Mall, this year's event is also host to the USA 1
Mile Road Championships, with one of the largest mile prize purses in the
nation." The Medtronic TC 1 Mile is also part of the USATF MN Team
Circuit/Championship Race Schedule.
New this year, 1000 finishers will be selected at random to receive
guaranteed entry for the popular Medtronic TC 10 Mile, which takes place on
October 4.
Nearly 20 teams have registered to take part in the Corporate Team
Challenge. The Corporate Team Challenge offers companies an opportunity to
add excitement, team building and good natured competition among colleagues
as they run together in the Medtronic TC 1 Mile.
