Hyatt Awards Free Nights to Runners Wearing Neckties at
                         Chicago Marathon on Oct. 12

CHICAGO, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- As a nod to business travelers and to
launch its highly acclaimed Faster Free Nights(TM) promotion, Hyatt Gold
Passport will reward the first 1,000 runners who start and finish The
LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon wearing a necktie a free night at Hyatt
hotels or resorts worldwide. The first runner to cross the finish line
wearing a necktie will win 750,000 Gold Passport points, equivalent to 50
free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide.

Running 26.2 miles is a challenge -- winning a free night from Hyatt Gold
Passport is easy. Runners may qualify to win a free night by wearing a
Faster Free Nights necktie or their own (pinned or tied on to clothing,
hair or hat), while running The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on October
12. Lightweight Faster Free Nights neckties will be available at the Hyatt
Gold Passport booth during The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon Health and
Fitness Expo at McCormick Place on Friday, October 10, and Saturday,
October 11, and at the Buckingham Fountain area on the morning of the race.

Marathon runners wearing a necktie from start to finish must register for a
chance to win a Faster Free Night at the Hyatt Gold Passport tent located
beyond the finish line in the Runner Reunite area surrounding Buckingham
Fountain. The fastest 1,000 runners who register will be rewarded a free
night based on race times posted in the Chicago Tribune the following day.

Hyatt Gold Passport's Faster Free Nights(TM) promotion allows Hyatt Gold
Passport members to earn a free night after every two stays when paying
with a valid MasterCard(R) card from October 15, 2003 to February 29, 2004.
Members can earn unlimited free nights and redeem their Faster Free Nights
beginning November 1, 2003 through April 30, 2004.

"Kicking off our Faster Free Nights promotion at The LaSalle Bank Chicago
Marathon is a great opportunity for us to showcase how easy it is for Gold
Passport members to earn unlimited free nights at Hyatt," said Amy Weyman,
Vice President, Hyatt Gold Passport.

"The marathon is a Chicago tradition," said Fred P. Gore, senior vice
president of North America Acceptance for MasterCard International.
"Hyatt's Faster Free Nights promotion with MasterCard will make reaching
the finish line an extra rewarding experience."
