Grandma's Marathon Field Limit Almost Met
900 spots left in the field of 9,500
Duluth, MN: The race is on to get a spot in the 30th annual running of
Grandma's Marathon on Saturday, June 17. Those interested in participating
are encouraged to register as soon as possible. With only 900 of the 9,500
spots left, registration for the race is expected to be closed by the end
of the week.
The entry form for Grandma’s Marathon can be downloaded and printed from
the web site www.grandmasmarathon.com. They can also be picked up at the
following Twin Ports locations: Wells Fargo Bank Duluth, Duluth and
Superior Target Stores, Austin-Jarrow and many other area sporting goods
stores and fitness centers throughout the Northland. To have an entry form

The 30th anniversary Grandma's Marathon weekend celebration begins on
Thursday, June 15 with the SMDC Health and Fitness Expo and continues on
Friday, June 16 with the Michelina's All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner,
Whipper Snapper Races for Kids, guest speaking presentations, live musical
entertainment and the William A. Irvin 5K (6:00 p.m.).
The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and Grandma's Marathon are on Saturday,
June 17, 2006 beginning at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., respectively. In all,
over 16,000 runners and 50,000 race fans from across the globe are expected
to participate in Grandma's Marathon Weekend.
