Getting my packet the day before was very easy. Parking was a breeze. Pace groups were extremely easy to find and my particular pacemaker was right on the dot at mile 18. Incredible finish and incredible gear as well

I've run the marathon course since year 1, and every year it gets better. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire process. The team does a great job... at everything! Race registration, questions, smooth packet pick-ups, organized events, taking care of the athletes on the course, awesome swag at the Expo and especially at the finish. If I don't run this race in the future, I will find out how I can help and still be a part of it. It's amazing.
Weather for the 2013 event was extremely cold, and the organizers provided all the runners with mylar blankets to keep us warm once we crossed the line.
This year the weather was warmer and for later finishers, the organizers had ice cold cloths for us.
The hugs from the race director are always amazing and I never worry about enough food options to refuel afterwards.
If you haven't run a marathon, this one is a great one to try! Or, if you have run a marathon, this one is one I think you should add to your bucket list.

"course distance" (about: 2014)

The course was way too long, .1 mile I can understand this course was almost .3 miles too long. I use a garmin watch, several others, while drinking post race beer, had the same issue.
Also 3:50 pacer took off way to fast first 5 miles.

"Boring course. Too long by0.25." (about: 2014)

Course was .25 to long. Screws people for Boston qualification with extra 2 min or so due to that. How can it be a certified course and be that off.

I loved the personality of this marathon! The face book feed was encouraging and made the days leading to the race exciting. I also liked the charities that it's proceeds support. The course, volunteers and of course race dirrecter were amazing and super friendly!!!

The race director and committee do an outstanding job of keeping all runners in the loop on pertinent information. The race is very well organized and staffed. Never once have I felt uncertain when running this race. No detail is too small when it comes to this race committee; they take care of their runners 100%

Everything was great. Tons of water stops, awesome volunteers, food at some of the water stops, lots of medical on the course, course was marked with cones when shared with traffic, otherwise streets were either completely blocked or not used by cars. Staff was great!

The organization did a very good job of keeping runners up to date on everything that was going on regarding the race in the weeks leading up to race day. They were also very prepared with many food/aid/water stations and very encouraging volunteers. The expo was excellent and there was great swag as well!!

even though it was warm and humid this year, this was a fantastic race that I would definitely run again. This was my first year to run it and was very highly recommended by friends and they were not wrong!!!

Absolutely loved the communication and organization of this race. Best I've ever seen. Course was good, but BCS aren't the most beautiful cities. It was so nice to have all the A&M students out there cheering us on!
