Race Details

½ Marathon: Will Start and End at Fitzwater Station and travels through the infamous Valley Forge National Park (Staying entirely on the SRT, mainly PAVED trails) then heads back (Very Flat and Fast.) Full Marathon: Will start at Fitzwater and go along the SRT then head back and up the Perkiomen Trail to a turnaround then back to the finish. (BOTH courses are FLAT,FAST and Scenic) Great for trying to set a new PR

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 1 FANS: 2

Very Nice Course but significant improvements needed. This is a 2 loop course on mainly paved path. No chalk markings or signs on course with direction. I went off course near an aid station and thankfully was alerted by a friend biking the course or I'd still be running. Water ran out at one aid station.

Could use signs on course indicating a race was in progress as public using the course for running & biking seemed to be unaware.

Race director advised at start that they could not put port-a-johns on trail but county restrooms were available.... never saw them.

Post race had water only for rehydration/recovery.

Lots of support from fellow runners on course but otherwise "sleepy".

If you like the amenities of a big city Marathon you will be disappointed with this race.

Signage would have greatly improved this experience,
