Where are the results???? No online tracking???? Nothing in the paper? I am disappointed that it is now day two after the marathon and there are no results available!

My experience this year was by far the best. I didn't get stuck behind a clump of walkers, the weather was perfect and I didn't have any trouble finding my checked bag at the finish line. This is a great race. The energy is amazing. The runners are encouraging and friendly. For the record, TNT only got 1/4 of the total slots, so there were plenty of chances for everyone else. The TNT cheering squads are the best. Tons of other cheering friends on the sidelines too. Never enough potties, especially at the start. The shirt is super-cute, though no longer Dri-Fit, which is a bummer. I'll definitely run this one again. If you don't like a crowded race, don't pick one that takes 20,000 entries!!

Most confusing website EVER! It's impossible to find results, and there's no support available.

I have run this race every year since its inception in 2004. The race gets larger and larger and the organizers can't keep up. There are no results to be found anywhere more than 24 hours after the race. No online athlete tracking, although there are timing mats at every 5K mark. I love running the race - the course is wonderful, the weather is great, and there are lots of volunteers. It is not an athletic race by any standard - I qualified as an elite with a 3:24 PR as a 37-year-old woman. Nike should spend less on gear and more on getting some organization into their website. There is also no way to look up a bib number of any participant.

Here's a race that has a tech side heavily promoted (Nike+), yet it's now more than 24 hours after the finish, and results are still not posted. Well, they SUPPOSEDLY are, but the site doesn't work. SO frustrating! Get it together, folks! And I agree with other posters: Ridiculous to not be able to follow the runners in real-time on the site. They have the chips and the mats in place... so what gives???

"Great race but a few complaints" (about: 2008)

The website is horribly cluttered and very difficult to navigate. There is no way for family members/friends to track runners and I can't even figure out where and when the official results are going to be posted. I also think the course should be reversed and it should end at Union Square as opposed to starting there. Lake Merritt is a HORRIBLE place to hit the 20-mile wall. Also, I was unable to locate the warming blankets (they should hand those out before the tee shirts!) and I almost ended up with hypothermia at the end of the race while trying to locate my checked bag. Speaking of the t-shirts, they ran extraordinarily big and I wasn't allowed to switch mine for a smaller size once I realized it 10 minutes later. But the course overall is pretty and it was much better supported than the SF Marathon.

I concur with the other comments. The race itself was very pleasant, but I am shocked at Nike's difficult-to-navigate website and lack of race results.

"Awesome Event!!" (about: 2008)

The race was awesome and everything about the weekend was incredibly well done. I agree that it is a bummer that race results are hard to locate. However, all in all I was very impressed with Nike's effort for this event. It was incredibly well done and obviously supported not only by Nike, but other outstanding companies and brands.

Congrats to all participants on a excellent run/walk and raising 18 million for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!!!

Finally returned home after an amazing weekend in San Francisco for the Nike Women's Marathon 2008. From the pre-race motivational speakers to the Tiffany's rewards at the end, this marathon was well organized and well presented. The marathon was a challenging course that offered breathtaking views. The amenities along the course were plentiful and the support of the fans was strong and heartfelt. Despite the cooler temperatures, the race was simply amazing! I would happily return to the City of San Francisco another year for this marathon!!
