"Well organized, well supported race!" (about: 2013)

The only reason I didn't give the course 5 stars was because it was not truly a flat course. Lots of little up & downs, which is fine, but it's not flat! Great support and cheering sections out on the course. Well organized start/finish area. And water stations - is it possible to have almost too many?!

Beautifully couse along both sides of the fox valley from St Charles, IL to North Aurora, IL & back the other side.

2nd year there. Well organized with great local city, business & community support. Check out their website to see the comprehensive guides for runners, spectator & 'things to do' guides.

Fun marathon. RD saved bib 112 for me, that was my 112 marathon. First time as a marathon maniac.

Thanks for cutting down the end loop of Mt St Mary for the half. Wasn't crazy about the rocky path in Japanese Garden but that may have been a one time thing. Would love to see chocolate milk at the finish next year!!

This was my first half marathon and I was amazed how well organized everything was. It started on time and everyone and everything you could need was easy to find. There were so many wonderful volunteers offering water and good spirits, it was wonderful. Thanks to all involved!

What an awesome marathon. Running next to the river nearly the entire time on various paths, bridges and all in the shade for the most part. Very well organized, plenty of treats in the end. Nice medals were handed out for all 3 races. I had an absolute blast and can't wait for next year.

Extremely well organized and staffed along the course route. More than enough porta johns at the Start (i.e. no waiting more than 3 people!) and along route. Beautiful course alongside the Fox River the whole way. Awesome multi-community and spectator support.

Wish course had fewer turns and wider lanes on 31.

My first marathon and I had an amazing time! Plenty of parking, course easily accessible to spectators and family to cheer their runners! Tons of water stations that are well spaced out. Great volunteers.

Great course on the river trails through several riverside towns!! Loved everything from the fully-supported free training runs, getting to know the volunteers and race directors, fellow runners along the way. A fantastic announcer, making everyone feel cared for and celebrated. Great race, all around!
