For being a first year race this was very well done and the community was out and supporting the runners. Considering the relatively small size of the race everything was great.

I really enjoyed this race. My wife and I ran this together and it was our first half marathon. The course was great and setup for speed. The volunteers and cheering crowd were amazing and were everywhere. The race organizer and his team should be commended for a job well done. I'll be back next year for the full!

This race was soooo well organized! Updates on facebook leading up to race were very very helpful! All the volunteers along the route, corp guys/gals, water stations, aid stations were all very well represented. The cheering along the route was awesome, from the belly dancers, Santa, music players and tons of spectators. Pre race was informative, upbeat - race started on time. As you crossed the finish line, a Grandma grabbed me, hugged me and put my finisher medal on (which is an awesome medal!!). After race food was great. We stayed at Atrea Hotel where packet pickup was - very nice, very accomodating for racers - even had shuttle to/from start line. Chris and his team went over and above to put on a fabulous race - will definitely do this one again!!!

This was my first full marathon and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Everything was so well organized - you could really tell all of the hard work that went in to the planning and to me it seemed flawless. The course was super just enough hills to make it interesting, covering awesome areas in both cities. I passed things I didn't even know existed.

A huge thank you to everyone involved who made this such a wonderful and special event!

I am so proud to live in a community where a race like this can take place. The course was great, the volunteers were so supportive, and my spectators were able to move from spot to spot to the finish line with extreme ease! Thank you 1000 times for making my first Half-Marathon such an amazing experience! See you next year!

"An excellent adventure!" (about: 2011)

It is difficult to identify any deficits to complain about. The minimal on-course tangent around some of the cones was ambiguous occasionally. There was a light breeze/headwind for a few miles. I don't care much for gummy bears so I didn't eat them.

Otherwise everything was excellent because of the organization of the volunteers, the nice weather, or the luck of the draw. I particularly appreciated that the volunteers maintained their good humor and even pointed out the appropriate running path that I should take. Other good things about this race are too numerous to mention.
