COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I had just said to my running partner after hobbling in from our 20 mile training run, 'Unless I have some life changing experience while running the marathon, this will be my first and LAST marathon.' Amazingly enough, it WAS a life changing event. The support of the people on the side lines was overwhelming. I had an incredible urge to find the next marathon and go there to cheer on random strangers and support them like I had been supported! I wanted to be those people! The people handing out the fruit and water were so kind and so helpful. The course was beautiful and the pacer's were funny and encouraging. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to running my next marathon because of my positive experience. | |
